The reflections of a 34-year-old Mum... for Elizabeth and Edward and Sarah xxx

Sarah is two weeks old...
This time two weeks ago I was on my way to the hospital for the first time, little realising that within a matter of hours our little girl would be born. We registered her on Monday - Sarah Elsie Rose. She's lovely - really laidback, sleeps all the time, and feeds like a dream. She's been out and about in the double buggy with Edward, Elizabeth loves looking after her, he loves kissing her on the head... she's slotted right in with our family, and husband's two weeks of paternity leave have flown by. He's back at work tomorrow and I'm seriously dreading it. We've been working really hard to keep on top of the washing and, well, the washing really. He has been researching computers, and we've been to Merry Hill and blitzed M&S to get the 'baboos' Winter wardrobes sorted. I'm tired but not exhausted. Stitches ok. Back hurts a bit today, but not really been a problem. Have been constipated but am feeling better after taking Senna tablets. Trying to eat loads. Edward still feeding in the evening. Have had to limit him to one side to try not to interfere too much with Sarah's feeding. Hardest thing is trying to manage the other two, particularly Elizabeth, and particularly trying to get her to nursery school on time. Husband back to work tomorrow, for two days. See how I'm feeling by the weekend!
