changing times!!!

Well, last week was just a normal week, apart from the fact that husband's friend's wife was accompanying me in to work on Thursday, so I was a bit keyed up about that.  Then I got a text from husband at lunchtime informing me we had an offer on the table, and viewings arranged (for us) for the next day and Saturday.  And there started a whirlwind of activity.  Went to see two houses on Friday night, and although one of them was ok, there were mis-givings.  On Saturday we saw one that we'd previously discounted because (a) it is 3 bed, (b) it is right on a main road and (c) it is too expensive.  I can't describe how we felt when we walked through and saw the garden, it reminded me of the feeling when I'd heard I'd got an interview at Exeter for my clinical psychology course and was driving home from Telford to Shrewsbury and saw the sun shining on the other side of the Wrekin - just happy!!  Frantic calculations have followed.  Discussions with mortgage company and one thing and the next.  Builder came out yesterday to see the loft, to discuss the feasibility of a loft conversion, and the good news is that it is possible.  So we've made an offer.  Unbelievably anxious.  Lets see what happens!
