ages since I last posted...

Well, we've had Edward's birthday - he had Lego from us, a book from Charlotte (Kit the Cat), a rake and a policeman's outfit from Elizabeth and a police helmet from Sarah... we went out for tea to Pizza Hut after Elizabeth was back from school, and he enjoyed every minute!

We had Charlotte's christening - with Godparents Mark, Angela, Anna, Sanjeev and Auntie Carley.  Brian and Beryl came down, and Nic, Sam, Bryony and Adrian - but otherwise quite a quiet affair, but totally exhausting!  Charlotte didn't cry at all, all day long if I remember correctly.  We asked Rev'd Sarah to do the service (she leaves for Anglesey in July apparently) and it was lovely - singing songs from Little Fishes, with just us there, no other family.

On March 11th, the day before my birthday, husband was at New Cross to collect his antibiotics for the latent TB he has been diagnosed with, and visited his Gran who had been transferred across from Cannock a few weeks earlier.  He visited her, and was then completely unprepared for the news that she had died of heart failure some time later that morning, so once again bad news in the household.

My birthday was a subdued affair, and rather than going out on the Saturday to celebrate we had my parents look after three of the children whilst we took Charlotte to husband's Gran's house to help clear stuff out.

The next week husband had the week off work, but illness hit, first with Edward, then me, and Charlotte at precisely the time she had started baby led weaning (Sunday 24th March) which was a bit scary.  So the first week passed in a haze, and by Good Friday (craft session at church in the morning) Elizabeth was coming down with it (visited Stu, Carley and Harry the Dog at Mum and Dad's with Edward and Charlotte), so another grim day.  Then a week more or less passed by with chopping conifers outside the house, collecting dresser, washing machine and fridge from Gran's house etc, opticians, that kind of thing.  By the time Friday came around we set off to Shrewsbury for a day in honour of my birthday - Watson and Thornton for material/pins/pattern, then Pizza Express for lunch and quick trip to the park.

We spent the weekend looking for cars... need a bigger car, then husband back to work while I had all four on my own for the week.  Just in the process of booking a holiday.
