Elizabeth is now eating three meals a day, having increased to two meals on 3rd June and then to three on 20 June. She has now eaten apple, pear, banana, avocado, dried apricot, blueberry, mango, sweet potato, butternut squash, beef, chicken, tomato, onion, carrot, parsnip, courgette, pea, broccoli, lentils, cheese, porridge and she is having cod for the first time this lunch time. She eats everything, and over the last couple of days has just started trying to feed herself and its all getting a bit messy!

She has been babbling since 27th May - she started really suddenly when we were in the car driving back from a get-together in Macclesfield. She says "Dada" and "Baba" but they are the only discernable 'words'.

She has been rolling proficiently from front to back for ages now - she first flipped onto her tummy in her cot on 28th May. She was content just to roll from front to back or back to front but since we went on holiday to Devon on 22 June she has been using her rolling skills to get from one side of the room to the other. These last two weeks she has been after everything and getting frustrated when we have to stop her (e.g. eating newspapers, grabbing electrical cables, pulling on the clothes horses, eating chair legs). She pulled over a house plant the other day, so we have started putting things out of reach, and bought corner protectors for the tables yesterday.

She likes to roll when I'm trying to change her nappy so that has become a bit of a battle. She finds a jigsaw puzzle under her bed and likes to play with that, but she also plays with her socks, nappy bucket, the changing mat, husband's glasses - you name it!

The holiday was fantastic. Elizabeth enjoyed paddling in the sea for the first time, and she also went swimming in a baby pool. She played with sand with her hands and feet, and saw 'moo cows' outside our cottage. She also went in a swing for the first time. She seemed to really enjoy being in a different place, and it did us good to get away from the relentless push to sell things and make money.

Elizabeth's typical routine is now as follows:

7am - awake and breastfeed, then nappy change
7.30am - breakfast of fruit or porridge
8.30am - wash and dress
9.00am - nap
10.00am - awake and breastfeed, then nappy change
12.00pm - nap
1.00pm - awake and breastfeed, then nappy change
2.00pm - lunch of protein + carbs e.g. lentils and potoato, or meat and butternut squash
3.00pm - nap
4.00pm - awake and breastfeed then nappy change
5.00pm - tea of fruit
6.00pm - bath then sleep suit on and massage
7.00pm - breastfeed then bed

She goes straight to sleep usually, but wakes up on average once a night at about 4am, but it can be twice e.g. at midnight then again at 4am.

Work have now refused my appeal, so they are still not letting me work one day a week. I've spoken to the Union about this, and may well put in a grievance and follow this through to tribunal because it does seem that they are behaving unfairly.
